Impermanence and Permanence: A Poem
All this,
All things,
All people
All that we know
Will vanish sooner or later
What is true
What is everlasting
What is blissful
What is inconceivable
Is Buddhahood.
I entrust myself
To Him who is reliable
To Him who can save me
To Him who HAS saved me
My Lord Amida Buddha.
Someday
Sooner or later
We all will meet again
In the Pure Land
Of Peace and Bliss.
This is the Promise
This is the Primal Vow
Amida made for us all
Knowing that we bombu
Could not save ourselves.
I praise Amida Buddha
I worship Amida Buddha
I honor Amida Buddha
I bow before Amida Buddha
I sing and say Amida's Holy Name
NAMU AMIDA BUTSU
NAMU AMIDA BUTSU
NAMU AMIDA BUTSU
NAMU AMIDA BUTSU
NAMU AMIDA BUTSU
